What is KitchenDEV?

KitchenDEV is a software company that builds cloud-based quoting, pricing and ordering software for the kitchen and bath trade.

Cabinet manufacturers and distributors use it to put their catalogs and dealer pricing online, so their own team and their dealers can quote and order without calling in. Suppliers to production builders use it to price cabinet packages for each builder's house plans. Kitchen and bath showrooms use it to quote across every line they sell: cabinets, countertops, hardware, appliances and tile.

Cabinet companies that design in Design Flex (formerly 2020 Design) use it to send those orders straight into their ERP.

How did KitchenDEV start?

KitchenDEV started inside kitchen showrooms. Working alongside them for years, we kept seeing the same struggle.

Cabinet lines without a 2020 catalog were priced from PDFs and Excel sheets, one cabinet at a time, then ordered by phone and email.

So in 2018 we started building software to fix it: first for showrooms, then for the manufacturers and distributors who supply them. Today our clients range from startups to Fortune 500 companies, and every one of them gets the same software and the same support.

I can see this is made from the perspective of someone that has to do it every day, not just the software guy.

Subscriptions run month to month. There is no long contract.

Changes you can make are included

Anything you can do with the tools you already have, such as uploading or bulk-editing a catalog or changing text, is part of the subscription. Only new functionality is quoted.
